We are located in downtown Barberton, Ohio, adjacent to beautiful Lake Anna!

Our K-8 school is fully accredited through the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association for the State of Ohio. Each member of our teaching staff is state certified.  Our fourth through eighth grade teachers are content specialists, while our kindergarten through third grade teachers are early elementary specialists. We begin every day with prayer and religious instruction. Along with a strong academic-based curriculum, we also offer computer, Spanish, art, music, and physical education in our curriculum. Over the past several years, through grants and private donations, we have made various technological advances within our school.  In 2018 through 2021,  we have purchased chromebooks for use at all grade levels and incorporated technology based learning in our lesson plans.

We use Progress Book, an online grade book accessible to parents and google classrooms to ease on-line learning as well as keeping in-touch remotely with all students and parents.

St. Augustine Preschool provides a nurturing, safe and quality education program for children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years. Our teachers are highly educated and well trained in Early Education. Creative Curriculum is the basic curriculum used by our teachers and it clearly defines the role of the teacher in connecting content, teaching and learning for toddler and preschool children. Our classroom environments provide enriching activities and lessons to aid in the successful learning and development of the children. The lessons are aligned with the Ohio Department of Early Education Content Standards. Formal assessments are scheduled twice during the school year as well as daily observations by the teachers to ensure the child’s success and Kindergarten readiness.

St. Augustine Preschool offers classes Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. You may register for a full week (4 or 5 days) or a partial week (2 or 3 days). We serve children 18 months to 12 years. Classes are offered all year including the summer.

• Financial aid is available through Summit County Job and Family Services in the form of the Title XX Program.
• Title XX is a program to help with child care expenses while you are working or going to school. You may be eligible if your family meets the income guidelines.
• St. Augustine is enrolled in the Ohio Step Up To Quality Program and the Preschool currently has earned a three star rating.
